Ikea Headphones
I designed these headphones to fit into Ikea’s Varmblixt line. This line features simple shapes and subtle lighting. I also took inspiration from the Sonos Ikea Collaborations.
How does form fit the brand?
In the ideation phase I tried to find what shaping and features fit in with my product inspiration.
Expanding Features
With Ikea being primarily a furniture brand the next step forward was to integrate this product into the existing product lines.
To do this I created the headphones charging stand which also functions as a desktop lamp and wireless charging pad.

Final Refinements and feature changes were done in CAD
Modernizing the Home Sound Experience
After defining all the features, I honed the headphone system to achieve a more unified final design. I synchronized the lights on the sides of the drivers with the charging lamp, and I opted for an open-backed design for the headphones to better complement the home environment.
